The British school bus service: impressions from the 8th graders

The students of the British school have to wake up at  around 6 am to take the school bus (but this depends on where they live). Most of the time the bus isn't punctual every day. If you are at the first stop the bus should be on time. 

The students who miss the bus have to arrange for their own ride to go to school. 

If you start after 8 you have to take your own car/taxi. 

In the 8th grade more than half of the class uses the school bus transport. 

On Monday and Wednesday the bus leaves the school at 3.30 pm and on Tuesday Thursday and Friday the bus leaves at 2.30 pm because they finish earlier.  

The bus is quite big, with approximately 30 seats. Most people said it's not very comfortable and clean. For security reasons they have to fasten their seatbelt. In the bus, there is AC so the temperature is always pleasant, and they are allowed to eat, drink and listen to music but not too loud. There are no shelves so they can't do their homework and they prefer to chat with their friends or to read.  

Some pupils think that it is useful because it's fast and pleasant to be with their friends whereas others think that it is crowded and it takes really long... 

Most of the students think that the bus is important because it is easier for their parents and for the people who don't have a car.
